When painting the first pear in this series, it occurred to me that I needed to install a door in it. Lockable. So that I could hide precious moments, wishes and other wonders there. Later, in the next paintings in this series, drawers appeared. In the luxury version, even windows, doors and a chimney, so that it could be lived in.
