Just thinking about the sliced lemon makes my mouth water. I had such a sensation working on this painting, but even now as I write about it, I can smell its fresh scent and of course... ;)
I like rediscovering ordinary things. From everyday life, such as a slice of lemon.
When I start working on translating this "ordinary thing" into the language of painting, it turns out that the cut lemon peel becomes an intricate lace. And when you cut a lemon, it will start to glow with an inner light. Just like stained glass.
